Hi there, with regards to the T-bills screen to look the same as for bonds where the price field is editable, that was my second suggestion of using the Bond Periodic formula, where the coupon is set to zero. A variant page could be setup specific for T-bills using the Bond Periodic formula so the majority of fields that are not applicable for T-bills can be either hidden or automatic default to a specific setting. That way both the yield and price would be editable.
Traders in Front Office are not looking for such a solution, but rather something straightforward like editing directly the settlement amount or the price on the deal.
Actually the request is that the page for T-bills looks the same as for bonds where the price field is editable.
The product should have “out of the box” the possibility to choose between price or yield in the interface, both editable.
Some T-Bills are quoted / traded in price, others in yield (exactly as in the case of bonds), that’s why both elements are equally important and the system should permit to edit both.
Hi there, have you looked at using AC Deals to book the small adjustments and then link the AC Deal to the Tbill trade. By linking it, you will see the cashflow adjustment on the Tbills Deal Map and Cashflows tab plus its corresponding GLs on the GL tab.
Another option that might provide more flexibility, is the use the Bond Periodic formula to enter the Tbill trades, which might get you closer to the desired settlement amount.
