MX securities messages - regulatory format change

There is going to be a format change for class 5 messages in 2025 as a regulatory requirement (National Bank of Romania). The implementation timeline as of know is November 2025, but we need to take into account:

  • The considerable number of messages that need to be changed

  • Internal testing of the new format

  • Integrated testing with counterparties

We can provide the templates for the new format (in Romanian), to allow analysis versus the standard format in the regulation.

On top of the message format change, there ongoing discussions at the National Bank level to change some reports as well, for example report 108 from Quantum (Anexa 4).

    Hello,

    we'd like to relay feedback from client on Class 5 Messages coexistence period will end in July 2026:

    "Regarding the use of ISO20022 messaging in relation to SaFIR system, to plan the processes within the bank's system and to participate in tests with SWIFT system and counterparties, as well as the timely execution of this project, please be informed that ISO 15022/ ISO 20022 Class 5 Messages coexistence period will end in July 2026.

    I have attached a few templates of MX messages from NBR, if it helps on how to populate certain fields.
