Client is testing Migration and need to run Migration EOD for End of Last month. E.g. migrating all deals on 20 Dec 2023, client would need to run Accounting EOD for last EOM, i.e. 30 Nov-2023. This is achieved by running Accounting processes like Accruals, Position, Ccy translation for End Date/Position date = 30 Nov 2023. This builds up balances on GL accounts for 30 Nov 2023 which client is subsequently checking/reconciling against their legacy system EOM GL account balances.
However, client discovered an issue / (missing functionality?) related to WAC Processor as we are not able to setup a Position date for the WAC Processor run. The expectation/requirement is to run WAC Processor for Lastt EOM = 30 Nov 2023, with the intention of building up Z deals based on Transactional deals with Settlement date <=30 Nov 2023. There is no POsition date option/field available directly on WAC Processor page. There is Position date field available under Reporting/Position under the special 'WACC' query setup, we tried setting this up to 30 Nov 2023, but it seems ignored and system is still running WAC Processor for position date = Today (e.g. 20 Dec 2023).
Is it possible to run WAC Processor for a back-dated Position date?
If not, could we have Quantum WAC Processor enhanced to allow to configure run for a back-dated/user-defined Position date?
As per KC the 'WACC' query needs to be setup with Position date= Today, but in fact it seems to be actually hard-coded and it seems WAC processor always uses Today, regardless of what we use in WACC query.
Note: issue originally recorded in FIS JIRA AQT-82582.
